C-21 Casing Hanger
ABIPETC-21 casing hangers are the non-automatic and it’s designed to suspend small to medium-sized casing loads. It is a single piece that includes both slips and a slip bowl. The wrap-around slide segments on these C-21 Casing Hangers bite into the casing. They are a non-automatic sealing option that works well with a separate H-Packoff seal assembly and is advised for light-duty applications.
The ‘H’ seal packoff is designed to be installed after the casing has been landed, cut off and dressed. The packoff acts as the primary seal when the next spool is installed. This allows the test to be performed between the flanges and protects the C-21 slip from test pressure.
Non Automatic casing hangers are typically used when the casing string weight is not sufficient enough to energize the seal mechanism in automatic casing hangers
OD and ID O-rings utilizes to provide the primary seal on the string of casing being suspended in the casing hanger
The C-21 casing hanger seal mechanism cannot be used if LDS are present in the upper flange of the casing head
